Trend Alert: Mirrored Prints.

Digital prints of all kinds have been sprouting out on the runway in recent years and the designers bring on new concepts and variations every season, keeping things fresh and interesting. Bold prints and loud designs are nothing to be shy about now. One of the subtle trends in bold prints observed of late is the same print being mirrored in opposite colors or the same print in panels of different colors.

Hailee Steinfeld was a great eye candy on the red carpet arrivals at the Teen Choice Awards 2013 in this mermaid-cut House of Holland number from the Resort 2014 collection. I love her choice of the Oscar Tiye ankle-strap shoes which is a fun alternative to the chunky wedges from the designer's look.

Michelle Dockery of Downton Abbey is attention-grabbing in her bold plaid dress from Altuzarra Pre-Fall 2014, Christian Louboutin yellow pumps and Rodo clutch. I really like her choice of the bright pumps and clutch, which gives the dress a punch, as compared to the maroon patent ones on the model. The colors actually make her skin glow.
