I'm possibly the biggest advocate for dressed-down casual I personally know so this trend is definitely not-to-be-missed.

My favorite celebs photographed with their high-tops above are probably Kate Bosworth (with her light grey sneakers with her blue sweater), Olivia Palermo, Jessica Alba and Heidi Klum, in that descending order. I'm looking for pairs that are not so big that they would throw off the proportion of my already-really-petite frame. They're all over Hollywood but strangely I don't see them all over the shops over here in Singapore. Bummer.

I'm guessing my only hopes here are to get them from Vans or Converse, but I'm not really look for thin, canvas sneakers so Chuck Taylors are out. I've been looking at this pair from the Vans website, called the Connie Hi:

I LOVE IT! I haven't seen it in the shops here though. Really keeping my fingers crossed that they will bring them in, soon. Haven't seen any other pairs that I really like. So am still on a looking out. Meanwhile, really tempted by TOMS!
